Wonder Woman is Wonderful

I was taken to the movie by a friend who was on her 5th time seeing it in theaters. On the first night she saw it she texted me saying she had to take me, and everyone else she knew. On the ride there all I heard was praise and how amazing the movie had turned out. But I still wanted to see it for myself. I was not disappointed.

In most superhero movies, they kind of gloss over the background and get straight to the action. However, Wonder Woman gave you a full explanation for everything that happened.

It made the movie easier to follow, and also made me feel attached to the characters. Personally, this makes the movie ten times better because it feels as if you’re there and you start to root for the characters and feel connected.

My favorite part about it I have to say is how empowering it is. When watching the movie, at some points I got chills and felt as if I could do anything. Though some are saying Wonder Woman is just an excuse to sexualize women because of her revealing costume and the fact that she’s drop dead gorgeous, I don’t buy it. Sure, both are true, but Wonder Woman was so much more than that. She was ambitious, intelligent, and powerful. And what about Captain America? In his movie they show him in a tight fit suit, and shirtless at several points. This doesn’t mean that the messages of both of these movies weren’t empowering, because they definitely were.

Basically, Wonder Woman is an amazing movie that you have to see. The effects, the soundtrack, everything about it is entertaining and impressive. If you like superhero movies in general, I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy this one. Also, for people who like more romance/drama type movies, there are parts of it you will love too.
