I went on Royal Carribean's Allure of the Seas after its amplification in the summer of 2025. It was a pretty great cruise, but was it the best? I will list my favorite and the not-so-favorite parts of my cruise in the Mediterranean.

My favorite part of the cruise was the large number of dining and bar options. You could try something new every day if you wanted. My favorite restaurant on board was Samba Grill with some amazing cuts of meat and an amazing buffet. Some of the other restaurants were The Mason Jar, which is a southern comfort food restaurant and bar, 150 Central Park, which is a modern take on American cuisine, and Chops Grille, an American steak house with amazing salads and cuts.

Those are 3 of the best restaurants on board, but not all of them are amazing ,like Playmakers, which was a sports bar with burgers and classic American appetizers. When I got my burger,r the lettuce on it was wilting, and the presentation was sloppy at least. Another thing I must mention is that every one of these restaurants costs $80 for an adult which is quite expensive considering you also paid for the cruise itself.

One of the biggest downsides of Allure of the Seas is the price. Royal Caribbean is charging around $2,000 for the cruise per person, which quickly adds up. If you have a family of 4, expect to pay around 10,000 dollars total, since everything costs extra, as you see with the restaurants. If you want to go on an excursion, expect a price of around $1500 for your family of 4. You also need to account for airfare, which is a large price since the ship departs in Europe.

Another amazing thing about this ship is the entertainment onboard. They have Mama Mia and magic shows. They were both amazing, and I would love to see them again if I could.

They also had activities like a zipline and a dry slide that stretched 16 floors. The dry slide is unexpectedly fun. It is called Ultimate Abyss, and I would recommend everyone try it. The other slides on board, like the water slides, were also great. A warning for those who want to wear goggles, you can’t.  They also had a karaoke bar with great staff and people working there. They also had some amazing mocktails and songs. Beware of bad singers.

Overall you should totally go on Allure since it has nice amenities, and after being amplified, it has some new activities and restaurants for you to try.
