With the Oscars coming up, we thought it would be a good idea to go over some of the nominations for best songs!
Starting off strong, two songs from the Barbie movies have been nominated. It’s the first movie that has been nominated for two Oscars since La La Land was released 7 years ago. So what songs were picked from Barbie? The always flashy "I’m Just Ken" was the first nomination, with the second one being "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish and Finneas.
Diane Warren was nominated with “The First Inside,” from Flaming Hot. This makes it her 15th song nomination, an achievement that not many people get. Even more, she has gotten so many nominations but never won, the only person this has ever happened to.
Finally, for best original score, Ludwig Goransson was nominated for Oppenheimer. He won best score five years ago, with his score for Black Panther. He also was nominated last year for co-writing a song for the sequel.
