The BEST Halloween Candies EVER

Wanna be the hottest house on the block this Halloween? Buy these candies and relish in the fact that YOU have the best candy bowl.

As a candy-loving trick-or-treater, I had a lot of close contenders for this top five, but I based my list not only on my personal preference, but also on my perception of the favorite candies for the average kid on Halloween. Let’s dive in!

5. Sour Patch Kids

Sour Patch Kids, in recent years, have risen to fame. With a sour twist and fruity flavors, it's a no-brainer. Watermelon flavor is also widely beloved.

4. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

For many people, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are a lot higher on this list, but I think they belong at four. I’ve never been a huge peanut butter fan, but you can't go wrong with Reese’s. Don’t get this confused with Reese’s Pieces, though. Many trick-or-treaters dislike Reese’s Pieces and prefer the peanut butter cups. Reese’s Take 5 is also fantastic, adding pretzel and caramel.

3. Nerds Gummy Clusters

Nerds Gummy Clusters are a good candy - Nerds - turned amazing. With sweet and sour pops added to a delicious fruity gummy, it's a match made in heaven.

2. Twix

This is one of my favorite candies of all time. A delicious blend of milk chocolate, caramel, and a cookie crunch. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who dislikes Twix.

1. KitKat

KitKat is undeniably the BEST candy of all time. Simple in concept, ingenious in approach. A crunchy wafer inside creamy chocolate. For me, my number one slot is tied between Twix and KitKat, but most people prefer KitKat, so I bumped it up a space.
