We know it was last week, but we can’t stop talking about it! What are we talking about? Rock-A-Thon of course! During Rock-A-Thon, our theme this year was 90’s music, but we still had a huge variety of music. We went around and asked some of the managers what their favorite songs that they heard, or played, on Rock-A-Thon are.
Sydney and Nick both said "Friends in Low Places" was their favorite song from Rock-A-Thon, with Micheal having played it on guitar and Mr. Allan singing along. Josh was a little further away from the 90’s, with "Call Me Maybe". Very specifically though, it was the version from JPeg Mafia.
Katie said that her favorite song from Rock-A-Thon was "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. On Friday night, before the overnight shift, Lilly heard "No Scrubs" by TLC. It easily became her favorite song for this year's Rock-A-Thon.
For Lila, she chose the song "Country Roads". Not only was it a fun song where almost all the managers came together to sing or play it, it also reminded her of WLTL. In the third verse, there’s a line that says “the radio reminds me of my home far away,” and it made it very easily her favorite.
Finally, Michael chose "Teenage Dirtbag". It’s such a fun song, making it an easy pick, but also, he played it 10 times (or more!) on his guitar on air. We loved getting to sing along and mess around with that song.
Thank you for tuning in to Rock-A-Thon, and we can’t wait to see you next year!
